What we believe

This is not any formal credo; we just want to quote doctrine we believe to be essential to our faith (with some biblical proofs):

  • God created the world (Genesis 1:1)
  • God reveals himself in the Bible, His own inspired word (2.Timothy 3:16)
  • Jesus Christ is God (John 1:1) and coexisting human (John 3:13)
  • Jesus Christ died on the cross to save sinners (Romans 5:6-10)
  • Jesus Christ has risen from the dead and is alive, which guarantees our belief (1.Corinthians 15:17-20)
  • Jesus Christ is the only way to God (John 14:6)
  • Justification is based soley on personal faith (Romans 5:1)
  • Jesus Christ will return soon (Acts 1:11)
  • Eternal and imperishable life for those who believe (John 5:24)
  • Judgement and eternal damnation (hell) for those who don't believe (Revelation 20:12-15)

How to believe personally?

Every man is able to believe in something. Every man must believe in something. You believe in laws of nature (because they have never failed so far); you believe that you exist for some reason (otherwise you would not be living in this moment). You believe in many every day things.

Why do you not confide in Him who created everything which is visible? In Him who even holds your future? In Him who wants to get in touch with every human being? In Him who sent his son, Jesus Christ, into this world for your salvation?

The message of the Christian faith is quite simple:

  • Realize that I and my good deeds cannot earn eternal life and I deserve eternal punishment for my sins (Romans 3:10-12)
  • Repent, revise my opinion (Matthews 4:17) => confess my sins to God (1.John 1:8-9)
  • Acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for my sins (Romans 5:6)
  • Result: I am justified in God's sight (Romans 5:1)

Too simple? Too difficult? Jesus promises that until now: Him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out. (John 6:37)

These things are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.   (John 20:31)
